Ahhh…the wondrous beauty of cashmere. Who doesn't love it? Adventures of Jessica Rose is clearly a cashmere fanatic (above left and right). Making her market debut this weekend, JR works this magical material by hand – dyeing, fashioning and delivering. She makes the trek down to the 'Burg tomorrow from Woodstock where – no doubt – the Fall weather has started and life is cashmere-ready. Pick something up for yourself. Sometimes calling something "handmade" just doesn't quite seem to tell the whole story. So it goes with [A]Symmentric. This keen eye for design finds inspiration in the old (don't we all in some way?) and then is off to the races as designer Boo Youn Choi creates one-of-a-kind pieces complete with edge, attitude and style (pictured, left). Sometimes we come across designers with that indie cred that we know is going to take you to the moon. Add Boo to that list. Saturday, Indoor Artists & Designer Market, 12-8pm.
