Brooklyn Food Artisans

On any given weekend, we’ve got a feast for all of your senses. Since the start of the Spring, we’ve steadily cultivated a nice crew of food folks – many of them Brooklyn-based – whose big dreams, outrageous palettes and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude are the foodie companion to the creative energy that has made the marketplace fertile ground for so many aspiring, independent artists and designers and vintage collectors.

That Burger Tent first debuted early last Fall as a passion project of burger chef Dan Petersen. The passion gave way to a full time obsession and Dan is cooking up some plans to take his pop-up burger joint to a full time gig. Location and date are still being worked on but make sure to follow his burger-making exploits.

Any taco-loving food-hunter worth his or her salt knows that Brooklyn Taco Company is a driving force behind the taco movement. Since their first days at our beloved holiday bazaar, Chef Jesse Kramer and Erica Molina, these taco slingers have been going places. Their latest news involves setting up permanent residence at the storied Essex Street Market so the tortilla-obsessed don’t have to wait for a weekend to eat some mad chilorio braised beef tacos. Fear not: they’ll make sure to have an outpost in the borough of Brooklyn to stay true to their roots. Thank Dios.
