Love for Sale: An Indie Brooklyn Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day we want to make it feel as good to give as it is to get. Love For Sale brings the entire crew of Artists & Fleas sellers - from vintage to designer to fashion to food - together for our own take on the red tag sale event: a red room curated with goods for a weekend-long event to help support NYC-based God's Love We Deliver. And, of course, there's the added twist of bringing neighborhood friends The Kings of Karaoke for the first of what we hope will be a monthly Saturday warm-up of Karaoke DJ to get your weekend swinging.

Filthy Farmgirl is a relatively fresh face in Williamsburg after a 3-night stand at December's Brooklyn Night Bazaar, they're bringing their 100% natural hand-made soaps, scents and bath bombs to the market. But they're bringing so much more. Soap-maker and wordsmither Barbara Hochstein knows that fun is about getting down and dirty (below, right). Never the spoiler are we, come see what's all the rage. Saturday & Sunday

Small-Home-WilliamsburgFilthy-Farmgirl-soapsWe absolutely love when Julia Small brings Small Home to the market not only because of the derring-do that seems to be involved in carefully assembling each individual item (from salvaged mason jars turned into lamps to subway maps made into love notes) but the whole scene that is created. It's inviting. It's inspiring. And you'll quickly find yourself envying Julia's ability to turn a corner of a room into a world all its own and bring it to your own home (photo, left).

With the cold front coming through, North & Hudson wants to hook you up and keep your ears warm with a DIY take on earmuffs. We've heard of lots of things bespoke and custom but these kids are taking it to uncharted waters. Put a muff on it. Saturday only

What would a little V-Day be without some jewelry love? We've got plenty to cover you whatever your tastes and style is. LouLouJouls is Sydney Mannings mini-jewelry emporium of beads and baubles and so much more for your gift-giving pleasure on Saturday. On Sunday, jewelry designer Haekelstorfer brings their appropriately-named Diva collection to WillyB fusing some traditional textures and techniques with modern sensibilities ready to seduce and turn heads (photo below, left).

haekelstorferEarth Glass Project digs glass and its infinite beauty, turning glass bottles into objects of art both wearable and awesome. Saturday

What would a holiday be without sweets and treats? H.S. Chocolate Co. has it covered for chocolate fiends and other sweet lovers can look to newcomer Cheesecake Carousel for some inspiration. The former holds it down on Sunday, the latter on Saturday. Double trouble for your delight.

There's also the lovely Valentine's vintage temptation. In this case, fabulous friend from last Fall Lacewing Vintage makes a return for the weekend.

Brace yourselves for a weekend of carnal pleasures and ethereal finds.
