Table rental: $10 per table per day

We offer a special Prepay Package for 4 days (consecutive dates only) for $320 ($40 savings). All 4 participation dates must be provided at the time of reservation and payment must be made in advance. Changes must be made in writing and are not accepted until confirmed.

Spaces vary throughout the market. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the market before applying. Participants at other markets are welcome to apply – we maintain a policy of requiring no exclusivity in order to sell at Artists & Fleas.

Selection criteria: Artists & Fleas looks for artists, designers, vintage collectors, DIYers, handmade gurus and anyone with an eye for what’s cool, unique and different that wants to set up and sell. Whether you’re emerging or established or just want to get your merchandise out in front of an audience and see how people respond to your work, Artists & Fleas is the place to try it out. We request that ALL interested vendors provide us with a detailed description of their items AND email pictures or send a link to a website as part of the form below. In the interest of maintaining a successful, healthy and diverse mix of artists, designers and vendors and in the interest of maintaining the integrity of the market and market experience, we reserve the right to refuse vendors whose products we deem inappropriate.

Set-up begins at 9AM. All vendors are required to be set up and ready to sell at 10AM when the market opens to the public. Latecomers will be placed at the market manager’s discretion and will not have their fee refunded. Vendors must maintain their set-ups until the market closes at 7pm.

Please note that management reserves the right to make changes to the above policies at any time without notice, to terminate a vendor’s participation and/or to remove a vendor without prior warning. The payment of vendor fees represents your agreement of all policies and conditions to participate at Artists & Fleas.

2011 Holiday Information

As in years past, the market will be over-hauled in the spirit of the holidays for the 2011 season. Artists and designers and makers interested in showing and participating in this year’s market are encouraged to do so as soon as possible to secure dates. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. All dates from 11/26 through 12/24 require non-refundable pre-payment to be made by Sunday, November 13th. Spaces are $100/day. Special holiday market hours are below:

Friday, 12/23: 12-7pm
Saturday, 12/24: 10-5pm
Sunday, 12/25: CLOSED
Saturday, 12/31: 10-7pm
Sunday, 1/1: 12-5pm

 

williamsburg-waterfront-concerts-brooklyn

Artists & Fleas @ OSA Presents: At The Williamsburg Waterfront is an exciting collaboration with North Brooklyn’s NY Parks Department organization the Open Space Alliance of North Brooklyn (OSA) and OSA Presents. Our participation in the 2011 concert series is an opportunity to give local emerging and newly-established artists, designers and crafters direct access to thousands of live music fans along the waterfront stage. Vendor participation is limited to five (5) 10′x10′ vendor tents per show giving the opportunity for Brooklyn-based artists and artisans to provide concert-goers with a unique way to experience some of the creativity and energy that defines Williamsburg and Brooklyn in 2011.

Space Size : 10′ x 10′
Cost: $180 per show ($10 application charge will be applied upon show acceptance)
Requirements:

  • Vendors are required to provide their own white-top 10′x10′ tent and necessary items for display (tables, racks, stands, etc.)
  • Each vendor will receive two (2) 120watt clip lamps. There is no additional power source available. Vendors who require additional lighting or power need to provide their own.
  • Vendors may share their booth with only 1 other artist or designer for an additional $50. Each prospective vendor must complete an application and is required to bring the item/s contained in their initial application.
  • Confirmed vendors will receive 2 passes each and must provide name and telephone number 48 hours in advance of the show. All vendors are required to comply with all relevant rules and regulations of the promoters including load-in, load-out times and strict adherence to selling hours.

Once reviewed and approved, prospective vendors will have 48 hours to confirm participation and sign a vendor agreement. Payments must be made in advance and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Concerts are held rain or shine unless otherwise noted by OSA Presents and the promoters. Additionally, all participating vendors will be included in our online artist directory.

Market in McCarren [CLOSED] was a Summer season outdoor independent artist and designer market held weekly from May through July 31st in Brooklyn’s McCarren Park in partnership with the Open Space Alliance of North Brooklyn (OSA). The Market in McCarren featured independent designers of clothing, jewelry, accessories and handmade crafts along with an array of traditional and non-traditional visual artists and a selection of local food producers and purveyors.

The Market in McCarren was held for 2 summers in 2009 and 2010.
