We think our vendors are awesome.
And we want you to get to know them a little better. Take a look at our first interview Behind the Table with designer Elisa Gonsalves.
Eli started making jewelry in 2003 in San Francisco. Her brand is a fusion of Bohemian and edgy statement pieces, inspired by her travels around the world. After selling with us in Los Angeles, she had to come to N.Y and visit our Chelsea and Williamsburg locations too!
Q: Best part of going bi-coastal?
A: Walking and getting lost on the streets!
Q: LA vs. NYC market shoppers?
A: They’re more similar than they are different. They appreciate the work, the craft and the story.
Q: Most challenging part of setting up across the country? Is it difficult to travel with all of your goods?
A: I definitely don't travel light! It's challenging to figure out my display, but I love designing something new for each event.
Q: Best/Worst part about selling at the market?
A: Meeting so many people; it wore me out, in a good way!
Q: What’s next?
A: A few more events – I’m in Williamsburg this weekend 12/13-12/14, then San Diego and after the New Year there's a good chance I'll be in Australia!
