Policies & Terms For Participation:
I. SPACE RESERVATION: If you have reserved a spot for the week and need to cancel, you may cancel without penalty by emailing or calling 24 hours in advance (on or before Saturday 12 NOON). If you fail to show, you will be required to pay the full missed day fee ($80) the next time you participate.
II. SET UP TIMES: In an effort to ensure the market's vibrant atmosphere and draw people into the space beginning at 12 NOON, we invite you to set up your booth and create your space from 11AM-12PM. Your set-up should be completed NO LATER THAN 12 NOON. Please call if you are running late. If you arrive later than 12 NOON we reserve the right to give up your space and you will be required to pay for your space the next time you participate. If you are repeatedly late, you may be refused future participation at the markets discretion.
III. PACKING UP: In order to preserve the market atmosphere and a positive experience for everyone, we ask that you do NOT break down your booth until 7PM when the market is officially closed. We reserve the right to deny you participation in the future if you break down early.
In the interest of maintaining a successful, diverse mix of artists, designers and vendors and in the interest of ensuring the integrity of the market experience, we reserve the right to refuse vendors whose products we deem inappropriate.
RULES & REGULATIONS: TO KEEP THE MARKET A FAIR AND HAPPY PLACE!
I. OPENING/ CLOSING TIMES: Set up time is at 11am on both Saturday and Sunday. If you feel you may possibly be late for a good reason, please call Amy in advance. All vendors must be completely set up and available to the public by no later than 12pm. If you arrive later than 12pm on 3 occasions, without good reason, you will be asked to leave the market and will no longer be able to participate at Artists and fleas from thereon. IF YOU ARRIVE LATE, IT IS UNFAIR ON ALL THE PUNCTUAL VENDORS WHO ARRIVE ON TIME. Those participating on Saturday and leaving their merchandise overnight to vend on Sunday, may arrive at the market, Sunday, at any time they wish before noon, but MUST BE set up and ready to vend by 12pm. Short of trains not running or an extremely good reason, lateness will not be tolerated. No vendor is allowed to breakdown before 7pm without prior consent from Amy. Vendors are free to stay after 7pm until the market closes.
II. TABLES: Regular vendors should mark their allocated table with their name. For vendors who own a table and do not participate regularly, you may only leave your table if you allow the market to use it in your absence, if you intend to vend again at a later date. For all new vendors, tables are available to rent at a cost of $10 per day. There are different size tables available, for the bes selection, please arrive early. It is advised to book a table in advance, should you need one.
III. ELECTRIC: Appliances and/ or extra lighting is not allowed. If any vendor needs elecrical usage for any reason, they should ask Amy for approval prior to your reserved day.
IV. STORAGE: There is no longer any storage space! Vendors may only leave their goods if they are definitely returning the following week to vend on both Saturday and Sunday. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT ARTISTS & FLEAS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT OR ANY KIND OF DAMAGE TO A VENDORS BELONGINGS... YOU LEAVE YOUR GOODS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
V. RENTAL SPACE: The rental space is a 7 x 5 ft unit. Vendors may only use the allocated space - no moving a little left or a little right if the space next to you is not taken and NO moving forward a couple of inches to suit your needs without authorisation from Amy. The market has both wall and center spaces. Spaces are assigned. Requests are accepted but not guaranteed. TO BE TAKING UP MORE SPACE THAN YOU ARE PAYING FOR IS UNFAIR TO THE OTHER VENDORS WHO DO NOT BEND THE RULES!
VI. PAYMENT: The cost of a rental space is now $80 per day. The 4 day prepayment is now $280, which works out to $70 per day.
VII. MERCHANDISE: All designers must only offer their product they originally signed up to Artists & Fleas to sell i.e. If you were accepted at the market to sell T-Shirts, then you cannot decide arbitrarily to sell jewelry as an attempt to boost your sales. Any new additions that you would like to offer must be approved by Amy. We suggest that all vendors take pride with the appearance of their space - a professional attitude & look will help with sales.
VIII. TRASH: Please keep your space tidy. It is each vendors responsibility to clear up all your rubbish at the end of the day.
