There’s no place like home, and that couldn’t be more true for us as we look back on our residence in the Arts District in Downtown LA. Since arriving on the scene in May of last year, we’ve been thrilled to carve out a monthly home and find the support of a neighborhood committed to creativity, expression and small business growth. More striking has been the realization that the Arts District neighborhood is a community. We feel it with the people we pass walking (that's right!) the streets on weekdays leading up to a market weekend. We hear it from local residents who make us part of their weekend routine and share their support for seeing local artists out in action. And we hear it time and again from artists, designers and small business entrepreneurs who are getting out, bringing their products to market, meeting people, and making connections. Robert from Lustered Walnut, who along with his partner, Marie, make artisanal home goods using reclaimed and local materials. "I’m proud that we can make something [in LA], that people want it, and that people want to take it home and live with it."
Come visit us at the February market, this Saturday, Feb 21st and Sunday, Feb 22nd. It's our biggest market yet with 75 vendors and 4 food trucks.
We love LA. We love #marketlife. We love the Arts District.
