Planning to drop by #AFinChelsea this week? Make a day out of it and check out a few of our fave places in one of the neighborhoods we (lovingly) call home. Looking for art, food, shopping or just want to take in some incredible views? We've got your perfect day in Chelsea planned!
Start with art. Get up early to beat the crowds and make these must-stops on your gallery crawl.
Lehmann Maupin Gallery has earned a reputation for supporting artists working across disciplines and with new and challenging forms of creative expression.
David Zwirner Gallery is another must stop. Whether it's a high-profile packed to the gills exhibit or a relatively unknown artist showing for the first time, this gallery has left us inspired every time.
Hop on The Highline and take in the feeling of nature blending with urban life and architecture. A perfect place to reflect on all the art you've just seen!
Time for coffee!
Head to Ninth Street Espresso, our personal coffee obsession- located inside Chelsea Market. Need more fuel? The market is bursting with snack options.
Head to the Chelsea Piers for a rush. Trapeze School of New York is our personal fave.
Need more art?
Visit the incredible new Whitney Museum location. The building itself is a masterpiece housing its most expansive view of their collection yet. Don't forget to take in the breathtaking views from the roof deck.
Try our favorite old-school divey burger spot, Corner Bistro (technically it's right outside Chelsea but trust us, it's worth the walk!). Full of character, history and delicious burgers for under 8 bucks. A true NYC gem.
Not ready to go home yet?
Order a cocktail in the gorgeous ballroom of the Jane Hotel. Another NY gem covered in antique chandeliers, rugs, and paintings that make you feel like you're on a movie set. Depending on the day, you'll either have the place to yourself or be walking into an overflowing dance party.
