You've played at all three New York Artists & Fleas locations. How long have you been spinning with us?
Started in 2014, I was taking a class at DubSpot when the Chelsea location asked for some DJs, then started in Williamsburg soon after.
Do you alter your set based on which Artists & Fleas location you're at?
All three locations have a different vibe for sure, I try to keep a consistent approach but based on the number of people around, special events weather, etc I definitely mix it up as needed. I consider DJing non-musical events a definite skill in its own right.
Do you have some favorite #marketfinds at our Artists & Fleas locations?
My fork rings from MyForkArt, T-shirt from Father Panik, books at the Strand Kiosk, and of course records.
You have some epic monthly parties, can you let us know more about them?
For the last 7 years we have been doing a dance party on the 4th Friday each month at Union Pool Backroom and the last 2 years the 4th Saturday at Max Fish Basement. Details and all a list of all my gigs (including Artists & Fleas ) are on my website http://www.djpreskool.com/ and my FB page.
What's your favorite song to end the night?
It changes but currently its Hayling by FC Kauna
You have a great visual lighting show when did you start incorporating that into your events?
I've been doing my own projections and light design since the early 2000s.
