Marketing Manager

Artists & Fleas is seeking a Marketing Manager to work closely with the Director of Brand Marketing, Director of Retail and Social Media & Community Manager to co-create, develop and execute brand marketing initiatives across multiple channels for the existing Artists & Fleas brands and adjacent portfolio brand entities. The candidate will serve as a vital team member to help give voice to the brands in ways that are fresh, resonant and impactful while also being mindful of areas of opportunity for brand communications innovation. The Marketing Manager will help drive the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and participate in the creation of assets that bring creativity to how we engage with our various audiences and constituents in organic and paid mass marketing efforts as well as through a range of experiential, digital, in-store activations and related touch-points while serving as project manager to see brand programs come to completion.

The right candidate should not only have a strong foundation in concept development (copywriting) for marketing, advertising and promotion but also demonstrate a proven ability to manage projects with a keen eye for detail, brand resonance and audience relevance. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating quality content including, but not limited to, website, email, organic social, paid media and miscellaneous store and print collateral. Finally, the role requires strong cross functional collaboration with team leaders to build and oversee the execution of marketing/brand strategies for the portfolio of brands that works across our various marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage content calendar that is fresh, on-brand, timely and relevant
  • Collaborate with Social Media team to help develop and support influencer / creator programs to leverage for adjacent content
  • Create and manage a calendar of marketing emails targeting shoppers and merchants across all markets taking into account holidays, attending merchants, in-store events, market date releases, etc. 
  • Strategically plan creative marketing campaigns, from local guerilla marketing campaigns to producing in-store events. 
  • Manage asset creation, production and coordination and manage all assets are routinely audited to plan for change of seasons, hours, events, etc. so that signage is current.
  • Strategically identify partners to pop up in markets to drive traffic and connect with a new audience.
  • Drive thoughtful, genuine and inclusive representation across all creative content

The right candidate for the Marketing Manager role combines an acute understanding of the marketplace and general market trends together with a strong marketing toolkit to successfully tackle business communications challenges in copy, content, design and creative in ways that are compelling, memorable and on-target.

Perhaps most importantly to our organization and our broader community is to identify the right candidate that lives and breathes our content with a sense of authenticity, reverence but also a sense of humor and to approach the challenges of brand marketing and content creation as a storyteller able to develop content that has a clear point of view and an ability to engage people through words and images.

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience and will be based on an annualized salary and includes competitive benefits (health/dental, 401k, PTO).
