Social Media Coordinator

Shop Extraordinary Enterprises is the parent company of Artists & Fleas, which for more than 19 years has created inspired marketplaces for shoppers looking to discover local designers and for creators looking to showcase their creative businesses in real life. In 2021, Shop Extraordinary Enterprises launched Regeneration, a Williamsburg market focused on vintage, thrift and upcycled clothing. The following year the company acquired Manhattan Vintage, the iconic vintage show that takes place in NYC three times a year.

Shop Extraordinary Enterprises is seeking a full time Social Media Coordinator to join our NYC-based team. This position will support the entire brand portfolio, with a primary focus on Artists & Fleas and Regeneration. This role will work closely with the Director of Content Marketing and Social Media Manager to create engaging content across our social media channels, manage influencer campaigns and promote each brand’s unique voice. The coordinator will work closely with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop calendar topics and will have an active role in executing organic social campaigns across channels. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Concept, create, produce and edit relevant photo and video content for current social media channels and platforms in coordination with Social Media Manager, including graphic creation 
  • Coordinate visual merchandising in support of content creation, both in-market and in external environments
  • Pull data and analytics on a weekly and monthly basis to measure channel growth and user engagement 
  • Participate in research, outreach and coordination efforts to grow social media influencer program strategy and serve as a liaison to influencers in program partnerships, in coordination with social media interns; support influencer program for Manhattan Vintage Shows
  • Lead video content creation in conjunction with Social Media Manager, aligning with content marketing calendar and brand strategies
  • Serve as a resource for the merchant community regarding social media and visual merchandising training and workshops 
  • Support community management, including responding to direct messages and comments on social channels
  • Connect with market community managers on weekly social content needs 
  • Stay current on social media news and trends and identify relevant trendjacking opportunities for each brand

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience creating content for social media 
  • Experience with influencer relations is preferred
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva for photo and video editing 
  • Experience with social scheduling tools like Later and Sprout
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok.
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-starter and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work weekends 

 

Hours/schedule:

This is a full time, in-person position based in NYC. Given the nature of our markets, this role will need to be in the markets on Sundays and Thursdays. A typical weekly work schedule would be Sunday-Thursday. 

 

Compensation:

A salary range of $45,000 – $52,000 annually commensurate with experience; annual end of year discretionary bonus; benefits eligibility (health, 401k); and an opportunity to work with a great team and a growing organization.
