...in a manner of speaking. That is, if Brooklyn and Manhattan were to book-end the current culture climate of cool fashion, indie design and vintage goods. It can sometimes feel like there is no need to leave the borough of Brooklyn. Certainly Williamsburg has enough shopping, eating, people-watching and flaneur-making to fill even the most picky among us to be shocked and awed.
In Brooklyn this weekend, we hold it down at our home base on North 7th Street with a razzle dazzle assemblage of vintage collectors (Wyzetta & NStyle Vintage are back filling the room with personality and swerve, Lacewing Vintage brings some gypsy style with her) and some smoking new looks from our motley crew of indie designers. Check out the SNA$H JEWELRY debut piece de resistance - a knock-out homage to NYC (photo below).
Our Chelsea Market pop-up (open daily, 10:30-7 at Tenth & 15th Street) is in full-swing and it feels AMAZING. Village vintage veterans Cherry Vintage have transformed the entry way (above) into a wonderland of vintage objects and clothing from mid-century modern lamps to classic Chanel.
There are riches pouring out as we bring it to both boroughs for a weekend of hunting and discovery. Get your market groove on good.
