We just hit the 1 million mark for flyers printed. That guy or gal on the corner calling your attention to the market down the block in Williamsburg. It's an oldie but a goodie. In over 9 years, we've certainly had our share of characters. Some have gone on to greatness. Some have felt like family. Each has a technique and a story. Without fail, each has shown up and in his or her own way become part of the Bedford Avenue weekend landscape putting a flyer in your hand.
1,000,000. That's a lot of palms pressed, eyes contacted, words exchanged and people wooed. Or so we would like to believe.
And so it's funny to come across a fan's blog post on Day In & Day Out recalling a flyer from 2006 or 2007 and how that is inspiring a return journey to NYC and to the market.
A little lesson for us all: look up from your iPhone, put out your hand, because you never know what that person on the street corner is going to turn you on to.
