How did your business get started? 
After being in the blanket manufacturing business for over 20 years, our team partnered up with one happy customer, now creative director, Amelie Mancini, to build a better blanket brand. With our team’s knowledge of blanket manufacturing and Amelie’s artistic know-how, we built Biquette. Unlike the other brands we had been manufacturing for, we specifically sought out to create softer and more truly eco-friendly blankets by utilizing only the absolute best materials available.

How do you make your products?
We make all of our products locally at one of the last standing knitting mills in Long Island, New York. We utilize only the best organic cotton, Merino wool, and our ultra luxurious Egyptian cotton so every piece is extremely comfortable and plastic-free.

Tell us more about your business.
We believe in a sustainable way to do business—not by using trendy buzzwords or greenwashing terms but by being committed to these core principles:
1. Made to order to eliminate waste
2. High quality materials so they’ll last longer
3. Natural fibers only, zero plastics (no recycled cotton, since that’s actually a polyester blend, which means plastic!)
4. Made in the US, keeping our local community employed, and our manufacturing standards high.

What’s your favorite product?
That’s like trying to pick a favorite child! It’s hard to say, but our customers seem to most love our Garden, Peace, and Arches throw blankets.

Why do you sell at Artists & Fleas?
We absolutely love the Artists & Fleas community as every seller is super creative, crafty, and many are made locally here in New York. We also love being able to connect with our customers in person, and having them feel the difference in Biquette’s softness is always a huge plus!
