Paste

Established in 2004, Paste is a graphic line of t-shirts and art prints by artist Jason Laurits. Still today, the t-shirts are screenprinted locally in Brooklyn, NY.

“We’ve thrived for so long as a hidden, secret discovery because we’ve stayed true to form and under wraps.” Find out what else Jason has to say about Paste in the Q&A below.

Paste NYC inspired tshirts at Artists & Fleas

How did your business get started?
I taught myself how to silkscreen to make posters for my band’s shows. While in London for a summer, I began printing on t-shirts and selling them at the local markets. Paste took off from there.

How do you make your products?
Everything is hand-silkscreened in Brooklyn, NY.

What inspires your craft?
In a world where things are perfectly photoshopped, I like to keep my work unpolished, maybe unrefined. It’s kitsch, camp, and keeps the edge.

What’s your favorite product?
I love making NYC tees that a New Yorker would wear.

Why do you sell at Artists & Fleas?
We’ve had a long history. And Artists & Fleas provides a unique platform for artists and designers to reach their fans and followers.
