Faune Yerby is a mixed media artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She attended the San Francisco Art Institute and Mason Gross School of Art for photography. Always drawn to textiles, fiber, and texture, she learned how to spin yarn 13 years ago and is still discovering new and unique techniques today. Faune specializes in super bulky art yarns using various types of hand-dyed wool. To make each skein unique, she adds silk, feathers, recycled fabrics and beads. She sources much of her raw wool from local farms in the northeast including NY, PA .
