CAMP ARTISTS & FLEAS: Indigo Tie Dye- Shibori Pillow with Onyxmatter

Learn the ancient Japanese art of Shibori or indigo tie-dye in this workshop with Oynxmatter.
First students will learn how to prepare a vat of indigo. Then students will learn techniques for tying, folding, and dipping your fabric. Each participant will get to create 3 dyeing technique samples of loose fabric and a 20×20 pillow cover.
Supplies are included.
If students have a piece of clothing they would like to upcycle they can bring that to dye also. It’s a great way to revive a piece of clothing that has seen better days. All skill levels are welcome and children over the age of nine can attend if accompanied by an adult.
